Election 2020 and Free Sticker

I don’t ever talk about politics. I hate the arguing that usually comes with it. Those closest to me know how I feel and that is what is important to me. But if there was ever a time to say something, it’s this moment. This year—and this election—has been one of the most anxiety-filled of my life, and I’m sure it’s the same for many others. But even if I get my desired outcome doesn’t mean everything will magically be ok, either. Whatever the result of this day is, I just hope it’s for the best of the country.

I hope those Americans who are able have exercised their right to vote, either early or at the polls today. Please enjoy this “I Voted” sticker I made for the occasion. (There are two PNGs—a screen optimized version for digital planners and a high resolution print version that can be printed and cut by hand or cutting machine. Note that the print version is sized a little large to allow flexibility with resizing without losing quality.)

I just got an adorable little Cricut Joy machine! I already own an Explore Air 2, but have wanted the Joy since it came out to design cards with.

As a test, I cut out one of the designs from my Papercut Florals digital sticker set, so now I can see it as an actual piece of cut paper instead of just the faux version onscreen!

I have a few SVGs in my Etsy shop right now, but I can’t wait to design more, especially cards for the Cricut Joy! Stay tuned…

In the meantime, I thought I’d share this fun floral design so you can enjoy it too! Here’s a FREE SVG cut file that you can use on your own cutting machine.

Besides releasing a coloring book, I’ve also been busy recently stocking up my Etsy shop with some fun digital goods. It’s taken me awhile to get in the groove and figure out what exactly I want to offer all of you.

As an artist, I often find myself in limbo between the physical, hands-on art stuff—pen, pencil, paint, crafts—and the digital world of iPads, vectors, fonts, screens, and software. Each side has different aspects that appeal to me as it pertains to creating art. As a result, my work has become a hybrid of physical and digital media.

I’m sure there a lot of you out there who feel similarly. You love to use technology, but also still like the look and quality of art created by hand.

My Etsy products have evolved to fill that space. My goal is to create a line of artfully designed digital goods that embody that handmade quality that I love. For example, some of my latest listings have been inspired by felt crafts, embroidery, paint marbling, and natural paper textures.

I’d love to offer you all a FREE sampling of some of my digital products from Etsy. Please enjoy these fun papers and a piece of floral clip art I’ve made recently for some of my sets. Click the link below to download the high resolution files from Google Drive. Print them out or use them in your digital layouts, whether for card-making, scrapbooking, or other paper crafts. And I’d love for you to visit my Etsy shop HERE as well, of course!

Free Floral Valentine 2019 Printable

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen the series of mini floral paintings I’ve been working on for the past couple of weeks. If you haven’t seen them, here is the full set…

They were all done with acrylic paint and are the size of a trading card (2.5 x 3.5 inches). I made them this size because I thought they would be fun to give them away as little Valentine cards, similar to the ones I would give out at my elementary school class parties. I’m a sucker for just about any holiday—I love them! As a young girl, I was always excited to celebrate in school. For Valentine’s Day, I remember decorating a cute little box each year and going around to drop off cards to my classmates. Back then, mine probably had Disney princesses or something like that. These hand-painted ones will be a little more special, haha, and I’ll be sending them to some family and friends.

I didn’t want to keep the fun all to myself, though. I created some printable cards from my paintings to share with you all! Access the file from Google Drive at THIS LINK or click on either image below.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
